Generating and Saving Quotes

Quote – Generating A Quote

The Quote function allows you to generate a quote for your package.

Step by Step

1. Enter your Origin, optionally choose to click Save Address
2. Enter your Destination, optionally choose to click Save Address
3. Optionally select Ground Carrier Options
4. Click Continue.

Troubleshooting and Tips

Please double check your City Names, Postal Codes, and Province as these fields need to be entered correctly and match to successfully rate and ship a package. BBE’s online portal also allows you to save frequently used addresses. Saving the address allows for quicker quoting on the next occasion. Also, additional fees may apply when selecting Carrier Options. Auto Address complete option is also available for users who do not have a complete shipping or receiving address.

Quote – Add a Package

*Enter only identical pieces on the same line otherwise add a package

Step by Step

1. Select Unit of Measure or Optionally select Food.
2. Optionally select a Saved Package to fill in fields.
3. Select a Package Type.
4. Enter Description Quantity, Length, Width, Height and Weight.
5. Select Nature of Good.
6. Optionally click Is This Dangerous Good checkbox, if the package is a dangerous good and fill in the Dangerous Goods field.
7. Click Add to add package.
8. (Optional) Click Back to go back to the previous section.
9. Click Continue to go the next section.

Troubleshooting and Tips

Additional Packages can be added to the quote by repeating the steps, or by using the edit or copy buttons in Step 7.

Quote – Rates

Once you select Get quote, BBE will search all available carriers for multiple options including fastest or most affordable.

Step by Step

1. Click on the desired Carrier.
2. If you would like to add Insurance, enter the value of your package.
3. Optionally apply Promo Codes

Troubleshooting and Tips

You can search by carrier and filter out by fastest or most affordable rates.If no rate appears, ensure you have correctly entered City Names, Postal Codes, and Province as these fields need to match to successfully rate and ship a package and/or email customerservice@bbe.ca

Quote – Download, Save Quote

Users are able to download or save quotes here, as well as quick-ship your quote.

Step by Step

1. Summary of the selected Shipment Leg.
2. Total Estimated Costs of the Shipment.
3. Back to Previous Page.
4. Save this Quote.
5. Ship this Quote.

Saving Quote

Saving Quote – Quote Profile, Contact, and References

BBE allows a user to save a quote, so that you can ship it later. Saved quotes are kept for up to one month. The prices saved in quotes are subject to change, and if a quote is converted to a shipment the package will be re-rated.

Step by Step

1. Optionally select a Quote Profile.
2. Select a Saved Contact or Enter in Optional Company Name, Contact, Email, and Phone Number.
3. Enter in any Reference Numbers.

Saving Quote – Terms, Fees, and Submit Quote

At the Save Quote section, users are able to add Terms and Fees to the saved quote.

Step by Step

1. Add new Terms or select an existing one to add to the quote.
2. Add new Fees or select an existing one to add to the quote.
3. Click on Save Quote to save the quote.
